This Extra Virgin olive oil has a rich green color and a spicy flavor with notes of grass and fruit. It tastes best drizzled over fresh vegetable salads, pasta, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, or poultry. It can be used for dipping warm, fresh bread by adding balsamic vinegar to the oil, as together they create an unbeatable flavor combination. Olive oil also pairs wonderfully with tomato soup as a peppery, refreshing addition. If you wish to make the flavor of the olive oil milder, it can be mixed with another lighter oil, such as sunflower seed oil or nut oils. Although cold-pressed olive oil may seem too valuable for frying, its composition is stable at high temperatures, so you can use it for cooking with confidence!
Cold-pressed olive oil is composed mainly of monounsaturated (Omega-9) fatty acids, which are beneficial for cardiovascular health. The most important feature of this oil is its high content of biologically active compounds, including beta-carotene (a provitamin of vitamin A), tocopherols (vitamin E), chlorophyll, squalene, phytosterols and polyphenols, all of which are natural antioxidants, as well as approximately 100 other biologically active substances that create this oil’s unique aroma and flavor.
For external use. As early as 5,000 years ago, Egyptians, Greeks, Phoenicians and Romans widely used olive oil for hygiene and beauty treatments. Olive oil softens and moisturizes the skin, maintains the skin’s natural elasticity, helps improve the condition of brittle nails and dry cuticles, adds shine to hair and makes it more manageable.
